The shuttle service provides new vehicles that are comfortable and have a really nice presentation of its looks. The new vehicles are decorates with antique atmosphere. The shuttle service has a much comfortable and fully equipped van with radio and air conditioner that have been modified specially for the students. This is different from the rest of the service being offer around the area.
The Student Shuttle Service (3S)
For example, the ‘prebet’ service those students usually use to get from one place to another. The ‘prebet’ service uses old and not so comfortable vehicles to get the students from one place to another. Therefore, the shuttle service that the 3S provide have a better vehicle and charges a fair amount of fees that many students will find it happy and better than any other transportation services in the area.
The shuttle service is also better than the Rapid Penang (bus) which is like the buses that UiTM provide, the Rapid Penang comes randomly to fetch the customer and customers would have to pay more due to their lateness. Even though the shuttle service fees are a bit more expensive than the Rapid Penang however, the shuttle service is always on standby around the area and will fetch the students immediately when needed.
Rapid Penang
Just like the Rapid Penang, the shuttle service has its own network, meaning that it is possible for students to get on the shuttle even if he or she is alone. This also means that, they would not have to pay extra amount when getting on the shuttle as the shuttle will go to the next station to fetch more students. Unlike the taxi services in the area, the students will have to pay extra if he or she is the only one to ride the taxi.
Unlike the Rapid Penang, the shuttle service will head straight to it’s’ destination without making a long way around to the places needed to go. For example, the Rapid Penang will always take a longer route to get to Jetty but the shuttle service will head straight to Jetty with little stops.
Besides that, other transportation service cannot enter the UiTM premises like the shuttle service can, so it is easier for the shuttle service to drop off student in the campus instead of dropping them outside of campus and the students will have to walk in back to their dormitory.
